Welcome To FODify It!

Are you searching for relief from your IBS symptoms, or following the Low FODMAP Diet*?

Welcome! My name is Amy Laura and I suffered from a severely painful and misdiagnosed digestive condition (IBS-D) for thirty years. After countless tests and food regimens with negative results, a collapse in 2015 prompted me to investigate a diet called Low FODMAP. Within 3 days of eating LoFO foods I felt relief of pain and symptoms for the first time in 3 decades!

Enlightening & Motivating! Beautiful recipes, enticing layouts and photography, and lots of good information. I'm fortunate that I don't deal with the issues that would require a Low FODMAP approach to my diet, but this book is packed with mouth-watering ideas. And, heck, if they lean a bit toward the healthy side of things, nothing wrong with that. There is nothing worse than getting bored in the kitchen and this book will break you out of your routines. It's clear the team behind this book put a lot of research and effort into making sure these recipes work. A worthy addition to any recipe book collection and no doubt invaluable to anyone who needs this kind of approach to their diet.

Great recipes for all not just for FODMAT. Loved the beautiful colorful layout and pics. Really liked that recipes can be used by everyone. Tasty, too, which is the best reason of all to add this to my collection.

I'm a fan of your work! I admire how you're such a big supporter and advocate for teaching those with IBS how to make food low FODMAP friendly. I really think people need to hear your message, and I'd like to help with that any way I can. You're making such a positive difference for so many people!

Just received a copy of the CALM TUMMY HAPPY HEART Low Fodmap Cookbook by Amy Laura. The landscape of the book is an eye catcher of beautiful scenery in the Southwest including numerous pictures of dishes that an IBS person like myself can begin to consider. Also the intro is well written describing the same path I have traveled over many years with a careful description of the FODMAPs gas producing fermentation process, (page 13). I made 3 passes through the book. First checking out pictures of beautiful places and dishes associated with this pepper based region. Second closer read of the entire book looking for a starting place. Third, being sure I could easily follow instructions laying out the steps necessary - producing the exact results similar to pictures provided. Starting point, cornmeal pancakes-page 158. Next Grilled Green Chile Burger with Bacon-page 172. Larger meal with left overs like Pa’s Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Breast-page 76. After this start the rhythm of the book is beginning to open up options previously never considered because of acute IBS.
